What’s happening this month…

8:32, time to set the truth free

An important theme for us this month is the one we are sharing with other congregations at Prestbury. ‘The truth shall set you free’ or ‘8:32’ because the bible verse it comes from is found in the gospel of St John chapter 8 and verse 32. We’ll be looking at the theme in a number of different ways including ‘Harvest’, ‘Tough Teachings’ and ‘the Challenge to Change’.

Calling all men – don’t forget to join Andy and co in the convivial surroundings of the Royal Oak in the Burgage from 7.30pm on Monday 9 October to enjoy some friendly banter about this and that. The next one should be 13 November if you can’t make it in October.

Celebrate! Plus meets on Thursday evenings at a variety of different places this month. We have a chance to think a bit deeper about our faith and to ask questions.

5th sees us joining the parish wide ‘Education on Location’ at St Mary’s church at the earlier time for us of 7.45pm.
12th we’re at Whitethorn Drive at 8pm to unpack ‘What’s Harvest all about?’.
19th is the final ‘Education on Location’. This week it is at St Nicolas’ church in Swindon Lane at 7.45pm.
26th no gathering since half term is this week.

Thanks to those who responded to the call for a range of helpers last month. It is not too late and we’d love to hear from anyone who would like to join the music group or the welcomers. Please see Jerry or Mary respectively.
