What to look forward to this month…

On Sundays we’ll continue our series of different people who meet Jesus in the gospel stories. Watch out for Jesus meets:-

  • The woman with the pot of perfume
  • The man who had his ear chopped off
  • The teachers in the temple
  • The Roman Governor

Monday 13th at the Royal Oak from 7.30pm is the place to be if you are a man and enjoy a relaxed drink while chatting unfettered by females. Simply drop in and out as you wish.

On Thursdays from 8-9.30pm Celebrate! Plus would be delighted to have your company – male or female – as we chat through some questions together. This month’s topics are due to include ‘What’s All Saints’ Day all about?’ and ‘What’s the Old Testament all about?’. Each evening is complete in itself and sampling one does not mean you have to come to any others.

Football matches and practices continue – the team spirit is developing. We trust the goal scoring will too!! Why not come along and watch?

Let’s blow our trumpet about our fantastic music group and tell everyone a bit about our multi-talented musicians.

  • Jerry is equally at home on drums and keyboard and plays in the Blue Diamonds.
  • Sharon sings and plays flute, piano and cornet.
  • John tinkles the keyboard ivories and plays in Rockfish.
  • Nick, another member of the Blue Diamonds, plays keyboard.
  • James plays electric guitar, trumpet and keyboard.
  • Andy W sings and plays guitar and a brass instrument – can you guess which? Ask him about it …
    Andy and James led the worship at Andy M’s licencing service with the Bishop at a packed St Nicolas’ church.
  • Plus other guest artists – Kathryn when home from uni, Claire and Fr Grant.
