The Presentation to Bob Lyle

 
After some 46 years as Church Warden in Prestbury, Bob Lyle decided it was time to stand down.   We had a garden party on the Prestbury vicarage lawn to celebrate this amazing record of service. As the speeches were about to begin Bob and Barbara were invited to cut the cake.

 

We had speeches from two vicars: the present Vicar of Prestbury, Fr Stephen Gregory (right), and the previous vicar, Fr Ian Hazlewood, recalled many occasions in the past as they paid tribute to Bob.

Gifts were presented to Barbara by Eilene Jones, Assistant warden at St Nicolas, and to Bob by Ken Bradbury, Churchwarden.
