Palm Sunday Procession, 13 April 2003
Carying banners made in their Easter workshops, pupils from St Mary's Infant
and Junior schools led the Palm Sunday procession through the village.
Many children were in costume as we made our way to St Mary's joyfully
re-enacting the triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The Procession was through
Fawley Drive; Southview Way; Finchcroft Lane; Noverton Lane; High Street to
War Memorial.

At the War Memorial the mood changed from the joyous to more sombre.
We listened to a Gospel reading and sang Ride on! Ride on in majesty
before leaving for our own churches.

Paul Broekman's brass group played for us. |
