Concert by the Abertillery Orpheus Male ChoirSaturday 7 June 2003 - All Saints' Church
This evening we were treated to a splendid concert by the Abertillery Orpheus Male Choir of mixed works starting with Wagner and songs from Les Miserables by Boubil / Schonberg, ending with the Battle Hymn of the Republic (for which we all joined in), and, of course, along the way many songs from their native Welsh composers They were accompanied on the piano by Penny Hughes and supported by the mezzo soprano, Amy Louise Pedwell. All proceeds from this evenings concert, organised by Marion Beagley, will go to the Youth Work of the Parish. |
