The Education & Nurture Sub-CommitteeWHAT IS THE EDUCATION & NURTURE SUB-COMMITTEE?Our Mission Statement reads:
DOES IT AFFECT ME? I'VE BEEN A COMMITTED CHRISTIAN FOR AGES.Are you puzzled about some of the Bible readings in our services? If you answered 'Yes' to any of these questions, then it would be worth looking out for learning opportunities that might suit you. SO MANY COMMITTEES! HOW DOES THIS ONE FIT IN?It was set up by the PCC to look after this part of church life. It always includes one or two PCC members, we report to the PCC, and need their approval for major proposals. There is plenty of cooperation between the different sub-committees of the PCC; we often work with Mission & Outreach, Worship or Parish Events. Luckily, we do not have to do it all ourselves, but we do have to find 'a (wo)man who can'. With so many activities, it is important not to lose the wood for the trees. We keep in mind our main aim - to help people in their journey towards God. CAN I HAVE ANY INFLUENCE?We need your comments and suggestions, or we can only guess what would be useful and practical. Please let us know what have you found most useful in recent years? what would you like us to provide? what day, time, place is best for people like you? We live in a fast-changing world, and activities which were popular ten years ago may not be appropriate now. There is always room in the calendar to try out a new idea.
