Occasionally volunteers are not able to attend sessions and we need to find other leaders at short notice to help the groups to run. NEW LENT SERVICE BOOKS
You will have seen that the books for use at the Eucharist during Lent have been completely revised this year. The idea is that they now match the shape of the service at the other seasons of the year and should be easier to follow. I have to apologise for one thing though and it is that in redesigning the covers the introduction on the inside was brought forward from the material for Christmas and Epiphany by mistake instead of what was intended. The error was only noticed after the books had been printed and were about to be brought into use and will be corrected in time for Lent 2011. Fr Stephen

REVD DAVID EADY
A farewell service to mark the retirement of the Revd David Eady will take place on Sunday 28 February in St Lawrence’s, Swindon Village, at 3pm.  It will followed by tea in the Village Hall.  All welcome.

NOTICES FOR THE WEEK BEGINNING 28 FEBRUARY 2010

THIS EVENING’S SERVICES
St Mary’s:     6.30pm     Evening Prayer
All Saints’:    6.30pm     Choral Evensong & Benediction

NEW LENT SERVICE BOOKS
You will have seen that the books for use at the Eucharist during Lent have been completely revised this year. The idea is that they now match the shape of the service at the other seasons of the year and should be easier to follow. I have to apologise for one thing though and it is that in redesigning the covers the introduction on the inside was brought forward from the material for Christmas and Epiphany by mistake instead of what was intended. The error was only noticed after the books had been printed and were about to be brought into use and will be corrected in time for Lent 2011. Fr Stephen

REVD DAVID EADY
A farewell service to mark the retirement of the Revd David Eady will take place today, Sunday 28 February, in St Lawrence’s, Swindon Village, at 3pm. It will followed by tea in the Village Hall. All welcome.

LENT PRAYERS
Again this year we are aiming to ensure that our churches are prayed in every day during Lent; why not join us?
In addition to the existing pattern of Morning and Evening Prayer and the Eucharist, Evening Prayer will be said in All Saints at 5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and there will be a short time of prayer in St Mary’s at 12 noon on Tuesdays.
If you would like to use the Lent Prayer material at home, please pick up a copy from church, or ask one of the Churchwardens if all the copies have been taken.
